ROLE:  LEAD SOUND DESIGNER

My goal on the project was to establish a compelling audio experience that compliments the visual language and overall creative vision of the Creative Director. My responsibilities included content creation, implementation, and managing a team of sound designers and implementers.

On top of creating, implementing, and managing content for the project, I also worked closely with our audio engineer to develop innovative tools and technology for sound propagation and playback.

PROJECT INFO:

God of War is a third-person action-adventure video game in developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) console.

It is the eighth installment in the God of War series, the eighth chronologically, and the sequel to 2010’s God of War III.

The game is a soft reboot for the franchise and takes the series to the world of Norse mythology—all previous games were based on Greek mythology. Series protagonist Kratos returns as the main character, and he now has a son named Atreus. Kratos acts as a mentor and protector to his son, and has to master the rage that has driven him for many years.
